Monday Night In Tiberias

It is hot tonight in Tiberias.  Many Jewish young people are eating at long tables at side walk cafes.  Orthodox Jews are passing out tracts - much like Jehovah Witnesses back in Oklahoma.  Lots of outdoor music can be heard.  It has a ritual song.  Everyone survived today's trek to the North.  At one point, we were only a few meters from Syria and a few kilometers from Lebanon.

Internet is just slow in Tiberias.  I was able to get today's photos up at a side walk cafe, but not the videos.  I will try to upload them on Wednesday from Tel Aviv or Thursday from Newark

Until the morning, Shalom

As I read your post about the young people sitting out and eating, it has caused me to imagine those in ancient times, when it was also very, very hot ... how they would be outside where there might be a cool breeze. The days of old are in some ways like today. May our Father help you to see how "yesterday" is not in all ways as distant as it might seem. There are things, situations, lessons that are just as relevant today. God bless you <>< Jere Litchenburg
